It all started with the French shoe brand Meduse, which was created as an alternative to leather shoes during a global leather shortage. That's when Kelly and Nick, enchanted by the Méduse brand and the rainbow of colors available, launched the Sun Jellies online store in 2012, bringing these iconic French shoes to British shores and beyond. Inspired by the wave of nostalgia for ""rubber"" shoes, Kelly and Nick decided to introduce an original range of retro bags - affectionately called ""jelly bags"" - inspired by vintage designs from the 1950s and 1990s.
