Why New Zealand wool?

New Zealand and Australia are leading producers of wool, which, thanks to its high quality, is considered the best in the world. Due to extreme weather conditions (over 30* in summer and approx. -30 in winter), New Zealand sheep have developed abilities over the years that allow them to survive these extreme temperatures, which is why their wool has amazing thermoregulatory properties. In winter, it retains the heat that your body gives off, and in summer it provides pleasant coolness and at the same time releases unnecessary heat and moisture to the outside, thanks to which the blanket does not overheat and the skin does not sweat under it. Wool is an antibacterial and antistatic fiber. Thanks to the presence of lanolin, which protects sheep against external pollution, wool yarn cleans itself, does not absorb dirt or dust, and does not absorb odors. New Zealand wool is hypoallergenic, great for allergy sufferers, and also has healing properties.

A wool blanket is dirt-resistant and easy to keep clean, thanks to the fact that wool has natural antibacterial and moisture-wicking properties. It is also hypoallergenic, which is important for people with allergies or a tendency to allergies. This blanket is also an excellent thermal insulator, keeping you warm on colder days. Wool is also fire resistant, which is another plus for safety. A blanket made of New Zealand wool is durable and, with proper care, can be used for many years.

To maintain the appearance of the blanket, shake it regularly in the fresh air, and from time to time brush it with a clothes brush, always in the direction of the bristles.

Wool is a magical fiber. Almost. You need to remember a few things about its care so that your blanket retains its appearance for many years.

Our blankets are made of 100% New Zealand wool. Like any natural raw material, it requires special attention to maintain its properties and durability for many years. Generally, the easiest way to maintain longevity is to avoid frequent maintenance treatments. The thing about wool is that it sort of... cleans itself. There is no dust or dirt on it. All you need to do is air the blanket outdoors regularly.

Remember, however, that it is 100% pure wool without artificial fibers, which gives it special features:

it is not super soft and fluffy to the touch - like wool;

it has a specific, natural smell - after all, it comes from an animal. The smell will disappear on its own after a few months, air the blanket regularly outdoors;

the blanket has a natural tendency to pilling, to prevent this, use a wool brush and remove any pilling with a wool comb;

How to care, wash and clean wool blankets?

use a wool brush from time to time, comb in the direction of the bristles;

Dry clean – RECOMMENDED

wool does not absorb dust, so there is no need for frequent washing;

air and shake the blanket regularly in the air, the fibers will regenerate and refresh;

If you have to, you can wash the blanket in water: by hand at max. thirty*,

do not spin or wring out, dry the blanket flat;
