La Habana Eau de Parfum
Eau De Parfum
The fragrance of La Habana is based on the nautical memory of Cuba before the revolution. The fragrance sheds light on the golden musical era of the island between the 1930s and 1950s.
The smell is aromatic, smoky and alluring. Scent notes are saffron, resin incense and Lao oud. All 19-69 fragrances are suitable for all genders.
“Known as a playground for the mafia and wealthy elite, Havana hosted many vibrant music clubs in the mid-20th century, including Tropicana and members of the Buena Vista Social Club guild. The rhythmic pulsations of Habanera, Latin Jazz and Salsa that could be heard everywhere, combined with dazzling dancers, added to the charm of the tropical island. After the revolution in 1959, many factories were closed and thus the Havana era ended. The fragrance of La Habana is inspired by my uncle, who was a seaman, by his stories about Cuba. "
The iconic cosmetics brand 19-69 was founded by the Swedish artist and product designer Johan Bergelin, currently stationed in New York. The name 19-69 stands for freedom, tolerance and counterculture. The inspiration covers various iconic moments of the counterculture throughout history. Art, music and different cultures have also left their mark on products in terms of content, names and packaging. The different colors symbolize the rainbow, which in 1969 was a symbol of peace and freedom.
