You can play boules on almost any terrain - it can be, for example, compacted earth or gravel. The playing field can be a village street, a yard, a square, an alley in a park. In tournaments, the game takes place on the so-called the boulevard.

The set from Egmont Toys includes 8 large balls and 2 small (so-called pigs).

The game is to place your balls as close as possible to the target - pigs. You can hit the opponent's balls with your balls. After all the balls have been thrown away, the round is over, the distances from the pig are checked. A point is awarded for each ball that is closest to the pig.

The game continues until one of the teams reaches 13 points.
