DESCRIPTION

Regardless of whether we eat a lot or little, whether we prefer meat or vegetables and fruits - someone is involved in the production of our food. But who? And where exactly?

  • How are the buns formed?
  • Where does the hen lay eggs?
  • Who is milking the cow?

With clear illustrations and clear descriptions, Julia Dürr answers these questions. He shows us around farms, dairy farms and slaughterhouses. He visits bakeries and bread factories, visits fishing boats and fish farms, visits plantations, orchards and greenhouses.

It shows how to read labels and find out where our food comes from.

This book tells you which came first, the chicken or the egg. But you will know all the rest about the origin of food.
Eggs, milk, bread, fish, meat, apples, tomatoes - thanks to the book ''Where does our food come from?'' the child will learn the path that these products have to travel before they are in the store and ... in your fridge.

The book does not judge, but presents the facts. The author has personally visited the places she described. On the spot, she took photos and sketches for the book. More than once she managed to get into the plant just because someone announced her. But it was worth it.
