Surrounded by an ancient, mysterious forest, Balincourt is the name of our family home where we walked along the magical trail called ''Lovers Lane''. This romantic fragrance is a sandalwood fragrance with a dominant accord of cedarwood and sandalwood, complemented by a spicy complex of cinnamon and nutmeg with an earthy note of vetiver.

Maison Louis Marie is the result of a long, rich family history of fragrances, starting with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars: a pioneer of French botanical history who was exiled to Madagascar, La Réunion and the islands of Mauritius during the French Revolution. There he discovered a wide variety of plant specimens, collected more than 2,000, and was subsequently elected a member of the prestigious Académie des Sciences - the engravings and sketches visible on fragrance packaging come from his journals.

More than 200 years later, Maison Louis Marie was born: drawing on her family's rich botanical history as inspiration and guide, Marie created luxury candles, perfumes and skincare products that focus on exquisite, long-lasting fragrances infused with unique floral essences.
