The name Bousval comes from our mother's hometown: there she walked her four collies on warm summer evenings, spending most of her time camping outdoors, fishing and picking fresh vegetables in the pond next to the house. Inspired by her enchanted summer, this fragrance has nuances of Valencian orange, combined with Italian bergamot and bold white cardamom. The characteristic ginger flower heart is complemented by eucalyptus and earthy notes of oakmoss. Tones of rich, sultry woods add to the hazy musk, giving it a modern aroma.

Maison Louis Marie is the result of a long, rich family history in fragrance, starting with Louis Marie Aubert du Petit Thouars: a pioneer of French botanical history who was exiled to Madagascar, La Réunion and the islands of Mauritius during the French Revolution. There he discovered a wide range of plant specimens, collected over 2,000, and was then elected a member of the prestigious Académie des Sciences - the engravings and sketches visible on the fragrance packaging come from his journals.
