Gerhard Gollnest and Fritz-Rüdiger Kiesel, the Goki company, started selling toys in 1981.

Over the years, a small, two-person company in Hamburg became the largest toy manufacturer in northern Germany. Today, the company is located in Güster and employs over 450 people around the world. With a product range of over 2,000 items, it is also one of the largest producers of wooden toys in the world. Up to 200 new products will see the light of day each year. 20 million toys are delivered annually to over 80 countries.
