The book - "School above the clouds" is above all - a return to the times when schools not only in Beskid Sądecki had no electricity and reaching school in winter conditions was only possible on skis. Maria Kownacka, in love with the nature of Beskid Sądecki, describes the adventures and school life of children from the areas of Rytro, Piwniczna, Niemcowa, Trześniowy Groń. She presents the customs prevailing in highlander homes. She describes the atmosphere in highlander families with warmth and humor. Such schools above the clouds in the Sądecczyzna region no longer exist today and the events and beautiful descriptions of nature remind us of the immortal features and values of a good children's book. It is therefore about friendship, companionship, everyday duties. Despite the fact that the first edition of the book was published over 50 years ago, it will certainly interest today's young readers.
