BabyBjornis a family business that puts family first. In 1960, Björn Jakobson was in the United States when he came up with an idea that he couldn't get out of his head. After returning to Sweden, his idea became a reality when, together with his sister-in-law Elsa Jakobson, he started producing baby loungers.
In the 1960s, babies could lie either on the floor or in a stroller. Björn contacted pediatricians and other specialists about his idea, and after their enthusiastic response, the concept of a rocking chair was born. The first, now iconic BabyBjorn lounger was sold in 1961.

Since then, BabyBjorn has been listening and learning from parents and experts as it strives to create parenting essentials that encourage closeness and can be used every day.
